Patti Ellis

Welcome to Patti Ellis Art!

Patti Ellis, Ph.D. grew up in Brunswick, Georgia.  She graduated from Glynn Academy.

She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia, an M.A. in Early Childhood Education, an Educational Specialist in Early Childhood Education, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Georgia State University.

After retiring from Cobb County Schools, she returned home to paint landscapes.

 

Greta Schelke, from Amsterdam, first introduced her to watercolor and encouraged her to continue when she was ready to give up!

Over the years, she has studied with Lynn St. Clair, Jerry Luke, Tony Couch, Charles Reid, and Pat Weaver.  She has exhibited many paintings, prints, and cards in Goodyear Cottage on Jekyll Island, Georgia.

 

Painting landscapes of the Golden Isles and, North Georgia mountains, and the American Southwest have always been some of her favorite themes.  Now she is enjoying painting the American face, which includes all ethnicities!

Patti Ellis lives in Brunswick with her Golden Retriever, Cotton.
